For research buyers / brief review

Audit your AI research brief before the run

A polished report can still answer the wrong question. Start with a brief you can check.

Give The Wringer your research goal, evidence requirements, and boundaries. The $1 audit flags weak acceptance criteria and suggests a tighter work order before you pay for execution.

Review pricing. Audit for $1

Pay per run. The audit is simulated. Research execution is separate.

01 / FIT

For a decision that needs evidence

Use it before a vendor shortlist, a cited research digest, or an internal comparison. The audit reviews how you ask for the work. It cannot decide which sources are reliable or guarantee that the final answer is correct.

If your brief already has specific checks and a reviewer who knows the subject, a manual review may be enough. See how the $1 audit compares with reviewing it yourself.

02 / HANDOFF

From loose question to reviewable brief

  1. Draft the order. Use the free form or Grok coach. Specify the decision, sources, and what a finished answer must contain.
  2. Audit the checks. Pay $1 for a grade, simulated dry-run notes, and suggested repairs. Read the repairs before applying them.
  3. Choose the next step. Copy the work order into your own workflow, or choose a separate MECHA run from $10. Review the resulting evidence yourself.

Need a starting point? The research digest template gives you an editable work order. The audit walkthrough explains the graded dry run.

Before you pay

Will the $1 audit research my topic?

No. The audit reviews the work order and simulates a verification loop without real tools. It does not browse sources, verify citations, or produce the research report.

What should I include in a research brief?

Set the decision you need to make, the output format, source requirements, pass or fail checks, and boundaries. State when evidence is insufficient rather than asking the agent to fill gaps.

Can I edit the suggested repairs?

Yes. When the audit returns a repaired form, use the repair button to put it back into the work order. Review and edit it before running the job.

How much is execution after the audit?

Execution is a separate MECHA run, starting at $10 and scaling with agent count. The audit is $1 per run. You choose whether to pay for execution after reviewing the brief.
